Protesters Tear EU Flag in Paris
Protesters advocating for France's exit from the European Union have torn the EU flag in Paris. According to TASS, the demonstration is taking place in the center of Paris on Saint-Dominique Street.
Florian Philippot, the leader of the "Patriots" party, stated during the rally: “2025 should be the year when France finally exits the EU and NATO, as the country has no path with these organizations.”
In his view, EU membership is detrimental to every country that is part of it. The politician pointed to Romania, where the Constitutional Court annulled the presidential election results on December 6. “Today, the EU cancels presidential elections when it doesn't like the outcome, under the pretext of so-called Russian interference, while no one notices the actual interference of the US and the European Union in other countries' affairs,” he said.
