Meeting Between Alen Simonyan and Relatives of the Missing Persons Underway in Parliament
A meeting is currently taking place in the National Assembly between the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, and the relatives of the missing persons. According to Auroranews, the information was confirmed by the press secretary of the National Assembly Speaker, Movses Harutyunyan, who did not provide further details.
The parents of missing soldiers had blocked Baghramyan Avenue on December 27, demanding a meeting with the head of the investigative committee studying the circumstances of the 44-day war, Andranik Kocharyan. They reported that they have been trying to meet with Kocharyan for a long time but have not received a positive response.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has clarified the situation concerning the ongoing protest on Baghramyan Avenue, stating that law enforcement has urged the participants several times to open the road; however, it remains closed.
