Giloian to Submit Resignation Request
The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Karen Giloian, may submit a resignation request in January. Giloian stated this in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
He noted that the reason for his resignation could be his election as a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency's Foundation Board (WADA Foundation Board), with responsibilities commencing on January 1.
“I am currently in discussions with the head of WADA, who wants my activities there to expand further. Therefore, I do not yet know if it will be possible to combine my role as Deputy Minister with this new position,” Giloian added.
The Deputy Minister assured that he has not submitted a resignation request at this time and is actively working.
It is worth noting that Karen Giloian was appointed as Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia on December 30, 2020.
