No Signals from the President, Peskov Says
There are currently no specific plans for communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and incoming U.S. President Donald Trump. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with Life.
“There have been no signals from the U.S. elected president. There is still quite a long time until Trump’s inauguration—more than three weeks. For now, there are no specific plans,” Peskov said in response to the question of whether it is possible for Putin and Trump to speak over the phone before the New Year.
Earlier, Trump had announced his intention to establish dialogue with President Vladimir Putin in order to reach a resolution to the Ukrainian conflict.
