Israeli Delegation to Leave Doha for 'Consultations'
The Israeli delegation will return from Doha on the evening of December 24 for "internal consultations" as negotiations continue regarding the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip. This was announced by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to TASS.
"The negotiating team, including high-ranking members from the Mossad, the Shin Bet, and the Israel Defense Forces, will return to Israel from Qatar tonight after a week of crucial negotiations. The team will hold internal consultations on continuing the talks surrounding the return of Israeli hostages," the statement said.
Earlier on December 24, a spokesperson for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari, stated during a press briefing that the country's negotiators are continuing consultations aimed at establishing a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
