Zelensky Struggles to Control Himself Recently, Peskov Says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's harsh and undiplomatic remarks towards global leaders are connected to his emotional strain. This opinion was expressed by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Zelensky has responded roughly to Russian leader Vladimir Putin's comments about a "technological battle" with the West and has made sharp remarks about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's proposal to declare a ceasefire during the Christmas holidays.
“Unfortunately, he (Zelensky) has not been able to control himself recently. Most likely, the emotional strain and inability to gather himself are affecting him. This is where such rudeness comes from—even towards a country that presides over the EU. He is rude to Viktor Orbán. The nerves are wearing thin,” concluded the Kremlin representative.
