Decision on Parking Fees Declared Invalid
The Administrative Court of Armenia has ruled that the decision made by the Yerevan City Council to establish parking fees in Yerevan starting January 1 of this year has been declared invalid. This was announced on the Facebook page of Hayk Kostanyan, the spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan.
“To avoid further manipulations, we inform you that: 1. The court's decision has not yet come into force and will be appealed by the city administration within the established one-month period. 2. Previously paid amounts will not be refunded even if the court's decision comes into effect,” he wrote.
It should be noted that earlier in 2023, the Yerevan City Council adopted a decision to set local fees for 2024, which imposed new rates for parking vehicles in public streets and squares owned by Yerevan, increasing the fees by up to 13.5 times.
