Hezbollah Missile Production Facility Destroyed in Beirut
The Israeli army has announced that it has already destroyed most of the missile production and weapon storage facilities of the Shiite group Hezbollah in the Beirut area. According to the army's press service, these sites were concentrated in the suburbs of Beirut.
The Israeli side claims that the Shiite organization deliberately placed them in civilian areas, under residential buildings. Military officials have stated that this infrastructure has been built over the past 20 years and has allowed for the production and storage of hundreds of missiles and shells intended to cause significant damage to the State of Israel.
The statement notes that Israeli military intelligence has been gathering information for years about the locations of Hezbollah's facilities, and in recent weeks, Israeli Air Force aircraft have destroyed much of this network through a series of airstrikes.
