Turkey Outlines Condition for Normalizing Relations with Armenia
Relations between Ankara and Yerevan will be normalized following the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“The normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia will occur after the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he stated. According to him, Ankara views the achievement of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia as a crucial element for ensuring stability in the South Caucasus.
“We are providing maximum support for the achievement of agreements and are pleased to see that the parties are approaching this. The latest decisions regarding the border (on delineation) are a good example of this progress,” noted the Turkish Foreign Minister.
