Gas Station Sector Tightening to Occur, Says SRS President
The gas station sector has numerous issues, and we have repeatedly warned that we will tighten regulations in this area, said the President of the State Revenue Committee (SRS), Rustam Badasyan, during a briefing with reporters at the National Assembly.
According to him, recently, they have had a recovery of 600 million drams by one related group, and the investigation is still ongoing.
“We have had a recovery of 200 million drams again presented by companies representing a related group. We will continue to regulate this sector. We intend to make legislative changes so that we do not have to use such large resources for regulation. For example, access to meters in online mode. I believe we will make such changes for gas stations, liquefied gas, and petrol sectors,” he stated.
He noted that in many cases, there are instances of underreporting.
