People Here Have Often Become Pawns in Political Games, Says Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has stated that Belarusians "live in paradise compared to how the rest of the world lives." He said, "This is how they steal, how they plunder countries, how they destroy people just because they have a different skin color."
The President referred to Belarus as a "land of bread and a territory of peace." He urged his fellow citizens to protect "their land" and expressed gratitude for their efforts in maintaining peace and ensuring the country’s food security.
Additionally, Lukashenko emphasized that he will not allow the western part of the republic to be used as pawns in political strategies. At an event marking the end of the harvest season in the Grodno region, he proclaimed that the region is one of the leaders of Belarusian agro-industrial complex.
"All this could have not happened, and we remember that well. People here have often become pawns in political games. I must say that Grodno region and our Belarusians, Poles, Jews, Tatars, Ukrainians, and Russians (who live in this area) will never again be pawns for politicians," Lukashenko declared.
