It Seems This Has Always Been the Case: Council Member on New Public Transport Payment Changes
Armen Galjyan, the head of the City Council faction of the Civil Contract party in Yerevan, addressed the recent changes to the public transport payment system in a Facebook post.
He specifically stated, “To those creating a fake noise about the new payment system, I suggest just sitting on a bus once and seeing how both young and old are diligently paying with the funds announced by the mayor's office, with the driver having no relation to the money. People are quickly integrating into this change, as if it has always been this way, which suggests that the full transition to a unified ticketing system on January 1 will be successful.”
