Casualties Reported Due to Hurricane Milton
The hurricane Milton has resulted in casualties at a nursing home located on Florida's eastern coast, despite the fact that the western coast bore the brunt of the storm, reports Fox News citing the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
There are 'multiple casualties,' the sheriff stated after a series of tornadoes struck the eastern coastline. However, county spokesperson Eric Gill noted that 'dozens of homes in St. Lucie County have been damaged, some with catastrophic losses.' Many of these are residential communities for seniors, living in temporary structures.
The number of households in Florida without electricity due to the natural disaster has exceeded 1.28 million.
