We are Building a Biological Water Treatment Plant on the Getar River, the First of its Kind in the Capital: Avinyan
As part of the process of granting special protected area status to the Hrazdan Gorge, we are constructing a preliminary biological water treatment plant on the Getar River, the first of its kind in the capital. Additionally, we have begun construction work on two sewage treatment plants on the Hrazdan River. This was stated by the Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, on his Facebook page.
“The purpose of the plant constructions is to prevent the infiltration of wastewater and solid household waste, which will contribute to the recovery of water bodies in the city, including the Getar River, the Hrazdan River, as well as Lake Yerevan,” the mayor remarked.
