Armenia Transfers 10th Package of Peace Agreement Draft to Azerbaijan: Vahagn Kostanyan
On September 1, in Prague, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahagn Kostanyan participated in the panel discussion titled “Armenia and the EU: Priorities, Partnerships, and Paths Forward” held as part of the GLOBSEC conference. This was reported by News.am.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister addressed Armenia's foreign policy, emphasizing the importance of diversification aimed at protecting the sovereignty, international borders, and democracy of the Republic of Armenia.
In the context of cooperation with the EU, Kostanyan highlighted the active political dialogue established between Armenia and EU member states, noting the significant prospects for deepening cooperation both bilaterally and at the EU level.
The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with the current dynamics of Armenia-EU relations and emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation and forming a new partnership agenda, aimed at strengthening Armenia's resilience and implementing democratic reforms.
The importance of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and its implementation in addressing socio-economic challenges was also stressed. The discussion also covered regional developments, with the Deputy Minister appreciating the role of the EU monitoring mission in ensuring security and stability in the region.
Regarding the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kostanyan indicated that Armenia had handed over the 10th package of the peace agreement draft to the Azerbaijani side. He reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to establish peace in the South Caucasus and the region.
The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the “Peace Crossroads” program developed by the Armenian government, reiterating Armenia's willingness to open regional channels based on the principles of sovereignty, legality, reciprocity, and equality.
