Helicopter Goes Missing in Kamchatka
A Mi-8T helicopter belonging to Vityaz-Aero may have had 19 tourists on board when it disappeared in Kamchatka. This was reported by the federal air transport agency.
In addition to the tourists, there were three crew members on the helicopter, the agency indicated.
According to Artem Koreniakoy, press secretary of the federal air transport agency (FAVT), the aircraft took off from a location near the Vachkazhets volcano and was en route to the Nikolaevka area, 17 kilometers southwest of Elizovo Airport, when it disappeared from radar.
The helicopter has not yet been located.
