US Prepares to Repel Iran's Attack on Israel, Pentagon Says
The United States is better prepared to repel an Iranian attack on Israel than it was in April, the Pentagon has announced. Washington will continue its efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
The possibility of an Iranian attack on Israeli territory remains relevant, according to a Pentagon spokesperson. They noted that the United States is currently better prepared to assist Israel in its defense compared to this past spring.
Attention was also drawn to the fact that Washington will deploy additional forces in the Middle East to reduce regional tensions. “We want de-escalation. We are signaling that if we need to do what we did on April 13, we are better prepared to assist in Israel's defense,” said Sabrina Singh.
She further emphasized that Washington considers the best way out of the crisis to be an agreement between the Israeli authorities and Hamas over Gaza.
