It is Known How Many Traffic Violations Were Detected in Yerevan in One Week
From August 12 to 19, during operations in the capital, Yerevan police detected 4,300 traffic violations, removing 154 vehicles to designated areas. According to the police, among these violations, 123 involved drivers under the influence of alcohol, and 297 involved individuals without a driver's license. Additionally, 13 violations were related to registration plates, 418 for driving without seatbelts, 289 for using tobacco products while driving, 186 for phone usage while driving, 493 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, and 1,530 other infractions.
Moreover, 134 vehicles were operated without a mandatory insurance contract, 119 had not passed technical inspections, 56 had faulty external lighting devices, and 282 were equipped with tinted windshields and side windows. Additionally, 57 individuals were arrested and taken to the police stations on various suspicions.
During the same period, police in the regions detected 13,754 traffic violations, removing 249 vehicles to designated areas. Among these, 211 involved drivers under the influence, 845 involved individuals without a driver's license, 54 were related to registration plates, 3,047 were for driving without seatbelts, 322 for using tobacco products while driving, 430 for phone usage while driving, 41 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, and 1,564 for speeding, along with 3,890 other violations.
In addition, 489 vehicles were operated without mandatory insurance contracts, 1,737 had not passed technical inspections, 398 had faulty external lighting devices, of which 16 were trucks, and 225 were equipped with tinted windshields and side windows. Furthermore, 48 individuals were arrested and taken to police stations on various suspicions.
