Biden Calls Ukrainian Forces’ Incursion into Kursk Region a 'Real Dilemma for Putin'
US President Joe Biden has commented for the first time on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' incursion into Russia's Kursk region, describing the situation as a 'real dilemma' for Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Armenpress, this was reported by Reuters.
'This creates a real dilemma for Putin,' Biden said during a conversation with reporters in New Orleans.
He also stated that US officials are in constant communication with the Ukrainian side regarding the advance of troops. Since August 6, around 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers have entered the Kursk region with tanks and armored vehicles. Ukraine has reported that it controls 74 localities in the region.
In turn, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre informed reporters that the Ukrainian authorities did not notify the US administration in advance about the incursion into the Kursk region.
