Four Individuals Arrested Due to a Dispute and Fight at the Airport

On July 30, in the passenger registration area of "Zvartnots" International Airport during the registration for the Yerevan-Sofia flight, a dispute arose among citizens over seating issues. During the argument, insults were exchanged, mutual punches were thrown, and the normal operations of airport staff were obstructed.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia informed "Factinfo" that the incident occurred in the evening. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 297, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code for hooliganism by a group of individuals, and under Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 for actions by a group of individuals with characteristics of interference.

“Four individuals have been arrested and presented to the prosecuting authority, with whom preliminary urgent investigative actions have been conducted, and the individuals have been released from custody. The investigation is ongoing,” the IC stated.
