Powerful Magnetic Storms Approaching: What to Expect

Today and for the next two days, there will be increased magnetic activity in the Earth's magnetosphere. Strong magnetic storms are expected to occur on Earth in the near future.

According to the schedule of magnetic storms published on the website of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics, today, on July 19, two to three magnitude tremors are expected. The probability of a storm will be about 10 percent.

Tomorrow, on July 20, a magnetic storm will hit Earth. The next magnetic storm will follow soon, anticipated on Sunday, July 21.

After the geomagnetic storm, the Earth's magnetic field will remain calm for some time. A prolonged period of low solar activity is expected next week. It is important to note that during magnetic storms and geomagnetic fluctuations, weather-sensitive individuals may experience mood swings and exacerbation of chronic illnesses. There may also be a rise in blood pressure or sleep disturbances. Doctors recommend not to endure headaches, take analgesics, and spend more time resting and walking in the fresh air.
