60,000 Polling Stations Ready for Upcoming Elections
The head of Iran's electoral headquarters has announced that nearly 60,000 polling stations are ready to enable citizens to vote in the 14th presidential elections. Some of these polling stations will be mobile, allowing voters to cast their ballots across a total of 90,000 locations, said Mohammad Taghi Shahcheraghi.
He added that equipment and facilities have been dispatched to regions of the country for pre-election drills at 3,500 polling stations.
The presidential elections in Iran are scheduled for June 28, following the tragic deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues due to a helicopter crash in May. The winner of the elections will replace Ebrahim Raisi, who died on May 19 in a helicopter incident in the northwestern mountainous region of Iran.
