Gas Supply to Abovyan City Halted

Due to safety considerations, the gas supply to Abovyan city has been halted. This information was provided by Gazprom Armenia.

“Taking into account the incident that occurred on the 2nd km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the gas supply to the consumers in Abovyan city, Kotayk Region, was stopped on June 7 at 00:30 for safety reasons,” the statement reads.

It is noteworthy that on June 6, at 23:14, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of an explosion at a gas station on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, which led to a fire outbreak. According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred at the liquid gas tank at the “Gaz Oil” LLC gas station located at address 6/1 on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, resulting in a fire. Seven citizens were injured, one of whom has been discharged from the hospital.
