44-Year-Old Karapet Was a Gas Tanker Driver; Gas Brought from Russia Overnight
Following the explosion at the gas station yesterday, 44-year-old Karapet Simonyan is currently in the intensive care unit. His wife shared with reporters that Karapet was the driver of the gas supply tanker.
“The gas was brought from Russia overnight. Relatives learned about the incident late at night when he was already in the hospital,” she said, adding that they are from the Aragatsotn Province.
Karapet Simonyan's condition is extremely critical. Recall that on June 6, at 23:14, the National Crisis Management Center received reports of an explosion and fire at a gas station on the Yerevan-Sevan highway. It was later clarified that the explosion occurred at address 6/1 on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, specifically at the Gas Oil LLC gas station. The explosion resulted in seven injuries, two of which are in critical condition.
