Russia Welcomes the Process of Normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations: Yevdokimov
Moscow is prepared to provide advisory assistance to Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding border delimitation and demarcation issues. This was stated by the Russian ambassador in Baku, Mikhail Yevdokimov.
“We support the ongoing state border delimitation and demarcation process between Baku and Yerevan,” he said. The diplomat clarified that Moscow believes this process should be stable and mutually acceptable.
The ambassador also emphasized that Russia welcomes the process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, including the meeting of foreign ministers of the two countries in Almaty in May. He added that this is yet another step towards peace in the Caucasus.
