Turkey No Longer Receives Orders from the West, Says Fahrettin Altun
Turkey no longer receives orders from the West and is pursuing an independent policy. This was stated by Fahrettin Altun, the head of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Communications Directorate, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“We state this clearly and unequivocally: Turkey, which used to take orders from the West and was unable to formulate its own independent policy and strategy, no longer exists. Today, Turkey is conducting a stable independent policy and strategy in the region and is a key player in international matters,” Altun said during a speech delivered in Ankara today.
According to him, Western media continue to engage in activities aimed at Turkey's degradation; however, Turkey “continues to fight.”
