Swiss Parliament Rejects $5.6 Billion Allocation to Ukraine
The Swiss Parliament has rejected, by a large majority of votes, the initiative by the Cantonal Council's Security Committee to allocate approximately $5.6 billion to Ukraine within the framework of a special fund.
“... the creation of the Switzerland and Europe Security Fund has been rejected by a vote of 28 in favor and 15 against,” reports TASS.
Earlier, the IMF announced its decision to allocate a $2.2 billion tranche to Kyiv.
As noted by the Financial Times, citing NATO sources, Kyiv authorities expressed dissatisfaction with the idea discussed within the North Atlantic Alliance regarding the allocation of $100 billion to Ukraine.
