Heavy Rainfall 'Covers' Central Regions of Russia
After a long period of heat, heavy rainfall has 'covered' the central regions of Russia, turning sidewalks into rivers, flooding buses with passengers, and downing trees. This has been reported by Readovka.
Thunderstorms and lightning have been observed in Moscow, Odintsovo, Vladimir, and several other cities. Residents of Verezin have jokingly referred to their homeland as the 'Russian Venice.'
In the city of Vladimir, a bus filled with passengers was flooded due to the heavy rains. In Obninsk, lightning has caused more serious issues as it struck a tree in a residential area. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties.
The situation in Moscow is also tense, with storms and strong winds wreaking havoc in the capital.
