Prosecutor's Office to Appeal Acquittal Verdict of Serzh Sargsyan
The Prosecutor's Office will appeal the acquittal of the third president Serzh Sargsyan, the owner of the "Flash" company, Vahran Beglaryan, and former Ministry of Agriculture official Gevorg Harutyunyan, as ruled by the first-instance court.
This was announced by the Prosecutor's Office in response to a question from the news agency. The verdict was published today, with Sargsyan acquitted of organizing the embezzlement of nearly half a billion drams from the state budget, Beglaryan of incitement, and Harutyunyan of aiding in the charges.
