Armenia Requests Assistance from the European Union
Following the devastating floods in northern Armenia, the government has requested the activation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism from the European Commission. This was announced by Tigran Balayan, Armenia’s Ambassador to the European Union, on social media.
It is noteworthy that four people have lost their lives due to the flooding in Armenia’s Lori and Tavush provinces, and significant damage has been inflicted on infrastructure.
