Iranian Embassy Responds to Disaster in Lori and Tavush Regions
The Iranian Embassy in Yerevan has issued a statement expressing condolences regarding the casualties and material damages caused by the flooding that occurred on May 26.
“The Iranian Embassy in Yerevan extends its condolences following the human losses and material damages resulting from the recent flooding in several cities and residential areas of Armenia. The embassy expresses its solidarity with the friendly government and people of Armenia, particularly those affected by the aforementioned disaster,” reads the statement.
It is worth noting that flooding occurred in the Lori and Tavush regions due to heavy rains and the overflow of the Debed, Akhuryan, and Tashir Rivers on May 26. The floods have inundated homes and buildings, and damaged roads. According to the latest reports, there have been four casualties.
