One Day After Large-Scale Strikes, Zelensky Arrives in Kharkiv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Kharkiv on Friday, May 24. He held a meeting to discuss the operational situation in the region and preparations for the heating season, as reported on Zelensky's Telegram channel.
According to him, the meeting provided updates on the situation in the direction of Volochansk and the restoration of damaged energy facilities. They also discussed the provision of housing for migrants in northern Kharkiv region, added the president.
On May 23, Russia launched massive attacks on Kharkiv and the cities of Zolochiv and Lyubotyn in the Kharkiv region. At least 15 missile strikes are known to have occurred.
As a result of the attacks, seven people have died, and another 21 have been injured. Two missiles struck Factor-Print, one of the largest printing houses in Europe, owned by the Factor group, where books published by Vivat Publishing and many Ukrainian publications are printed. Preliminary reports indicate that five employees of Vivat have been killed while at work during the strike.
