Turkey Must Quickly Normalize Relations with Armenia, Says Ahmet Davutoğlu
The leader of the opposition party 'Future' in Turkey and former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has addressed the events occurring in the region, as well as the relationships between Iran-Turkey and Iran-Azerbaijan, emphasizing the need for normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia.
According to Turkish news site dha.com.tr, Davutoğlu stated that while Turkey acted properly by supporting Azerbaijan during the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh, it must also work to normalize its relations with Armenia.
'Turkey must quickly normalize its relations with Armenia. The border gates and embassies should be mutually opened, and the spread of conflict from the Middle East to the Caucasus must be prevented,' stated the former Prime Minister of Turkey.
