Russia, Armenia, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia Are Convinced of This: Zakharova
The improvement of Azerbaijan-Iran relations will have a generally positive impact on the situation in the South Caucasus and the Caspian Sea region. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a press briefing.
“We see significant potential in the development of regional projects between the countries of the South Caucasus and their neighbors. This logic is particularly integrated into our work on the expansion of the North-South international transport corridor. We are committed to close cooperation with Baku and Tehran, including within the framework of the Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran dialogue format, as well as through the ‘3+3’ consultative regional platform.
Let me remind you that it includes Russia, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. Russia, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia are convinced that regional players themselves should seek solutions to existing challenges and problems without external interference. There is corresponding positive experience, and we must rely on it,” she noted.
