VIDEO: Red Berets Detain Participants of Awareness Rally in Central Yerevan
Protests and awareness actions are once again taking place in Yerevan. Participants of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement briefly blocked the intersections of Sayat Nova–Nalbandyan and Sayat Nova–Abovyan.
One of the drivers who joined the young people and blocked the road was pulled out of his vehicle and detained by the police. Members of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction, Gegham Manukyan, Arthur Khachatryan, and Mher Sahakyan were present at the scene.
As the large march moved along Abovyan Street towards Republic Square, Red Berets began detaining participants once again, as reported by News.am.
Since this morning, following the call of Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan of the Tavush Diocese, streets in Yerevan have been blocked again. Protests were previously announced in the following areas: near the metro station "Marshal Baghramyan," near the "Sasuntsi David" stop, and near the statue of Avetik Isahakyan adjacent to the metro Youth station.
