VIDEO: Pothole on Moldovan Street Causes Serious Traffic Issues, Drivers Report
On May 10th, Friday, construction work was carried out on Moldovan Street in the 2nd district of Nor Nork. According to the current information, there was a problem with the water pipe. The issue has been resolved, but the excavated hole has been covered with dirt and gravel.
Drivers who contacted Auroranews report that the pothole has caused serious traffic issues in that section. Earlier, Auroranews had reached out to the relevant department of the Yerevan City Hall to determine which company is responsible for the final asphalting and in what timeframe.
The city hall communicated that the reasonable timeframe for addressing such potholes is 72 hours, which does not include weekends, and weather conditions are also important. As seen in the second video shot this morning, the rain that fell overnight has washed away both the gravel and, to some extent, the soil, resulting in a deep pothole.
