Belarusian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Dismissed
General-Major Viktor Gulevich is no longer the Chief of Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the country's president.
The corresponding decree was signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on May 10.
“General-Major Viktor Gulevich has been relieved of his duties as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Deputy Minister of Defense,” the statement said. It was noted that he has been transferred to the reserve due to age. Moreover, Gulevich retains the right to wear military uniform and insignia.
