German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has stated that the conflict in Ukraine will drag on, according to Tagesschau. RIA Novosti reports that he said, “It is clear to all of us <...> that we must be prepared for this war to last longer than we would like.”
Additionally, Scholz has called on European countries to supply Ukraine with more Patriot air defense systems.
Russia believes that the supply of weapons to Ukraine is hindering the resolution of the conflict and directly drawing NATO countries into the confrontation.
