Kamala Kharazini Says Iran Will Review Nuclear Doctrine in Case of Existential Threat
Iran will review its nuclear doctrine if the Islamic Republic faces an existential threat. This statement was made by Kamal Kharazini, an adviser to the country's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, as reported by TASS.
"We have no decision to create a nuclear bomb, but if Iran’s existence is threatened, we will have no choice but to change our military doctrine," Kharazini stated in an interview with Al Jazeera.
It's worth noting that on April 18, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that the country is prepared to reconsider its nuclear doctrine if Israel threatens to attack the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities.
