Russia Implements Temporary Export Ban on Sugar; Armenia Among Exceptions
The Russian government has imposed a temporary ban on sugar exports, as announced by the government’s press service. The restriction will be in effect until August 31, 2024. This decision aims to maintain stability in the domestic food market.
Several exceptions are included in the decision. Sugar supply to EAEU countries will be possible in certain volumes: Armenia – 28,000 tons, Belarus – 5,000 tons, Kazakhstan – 120,000 tons, and Kyrgyzstan – 28,500 tons.
