Former US Ambassador Supported Attempts at Revolution in Georgia, Kobakhidze Says
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has published a conversation with Derek Schole, the senior advisor on political affairs at the US Department of State, on his X microblog.
Specifically, Kobakhidze accused former US ambassador Kelly Degnan of supporting attempts at revolution in Georgia.
“I expressed my sincere disappointment to Derek Schole regarding the two attempts at revolution between 2020 and 2023, which were supported by the former US ambassador. If those attempts had been successful, a second front against Russia would have opened in Georgia,” said Kobakhidze.
