We will initiate the impeachment process in Parliament when there is enough street power to enforce the will of the people: Ishkhan Saghatelyan
We will initiate the process of declaring a lack of confidence in Pashinyan in Parliament when there is enough and necessary strength in the streets to enforce the will of the people. This was announced by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF Armenia, on his Facebook page.
“Currently, there are several important questions that need answering:
– Where is the opposition, why is it not supporting the Tavush movement?
I can speak on behalf of the ARF and the ‘Hayastan’ faction. The party, with its structure and all resources, has stood beside the Tavush movement for the homeland from the very first day, has been present in Tavush, and has provided practical support to the formed movement. Members of the ‘Hayastan’ faction have also been present throughout this process in Tavush. Work has also been carried out on this topic in the National Assembly and in international forums.
– Why do political forces not assume leadership?
There is already a formed movement in Tavush. It has a naturally established clear leadership in the person of Bishop Bagrat, who is carrying out an invaluable and historic mission.
– Why isn't a parallel process being initiated?
At this moment, we do not consider it appropriate to start a separate or parallel process, as there is already a clear center of resistance established, and we believe that we should support this process in every way and make it pan-Armenian and universal.
– Why are different forces not joining this struggle?
It is incomprehensible to me why all those forces and individuals, due to various political calculations, are showing inactivity or passivity. There is a sacred struggle, and we must stand by that struggle.
– Why is the impeachment process not being initiated right now?
This struggle can logically conclude in the initiation of the impeachment process in the National Assembly. However, we consider it unacceptable to start this process prematurely and lead it to guaranteed failure. We will proceed with this process when there is enough and necessary strength in the streets to enforce the will of the people. Therefore, all our steps in the near future should be directed towards accumulating that strength,” Saghatelyan noted.
