Russia Considers Downgrading Diplomatic Relations with the U.S., Says Russian Foreign Ministry
Russia is contemplating the option of downgrading its diplomatic relations with the United States. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov to RIA Novosti.
According to him, this move will occur if practical measures are taken aimed at the confiscation of Russian assets.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov noted that Russia's response to the confiscation of its assets in G7 countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, United States, Canada, France, Japan) could include countermeasures both of an economic and diplomatic nature.
Just the day before, the U.S. Senate approved a bill that includes the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, as reported by kommersant.ru.
