“The Only Culprit Is Not Volodya”: Lukashenko on Ukraine
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated during the session of the All-Belarusian National Assembly that the responsibility for events occurring in Ukraine lies not only with the current President Volodymyr Zelensky but also with the country’s former leaders. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.
Lukashenko pointed out that previous presidents had plundered the country, driving the people into poverty. He emphasized that leading a country to destruction does not require much effort. “One only needs to remember the accounts in foreign banks, the authorities themselves will give up the country. There are many examples: from Haiti to the Philippines. And all of this did not just emerge during Volodya Zelensky’s time. He is not the only one to blame for everything happening,” said Lukashenko.
He added that every president from the first to the last had shared and plundered the country before his eyes.
The first session of the All-Belarusian National Assembly with a new constitutional status is currently underway in Minsk. It is expected that decisions will be made regarding the approval of Belarus’s new military doctrine and national security concepts.
