Earthquake 11 km East of Khoy City; Tremors Felt in Armenia
On April 20, at 22:01 local time (13:10 GMT), a 4.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the seismic monitoring network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The epicenter was located at a latitude of 38.55°N and a longitude of 45.09°E, 11 km east of Khoy, Iran, at a depth of 10 km.
The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral area reached 6-7 points on the scale. The earthquake was felt in various towns in the Syunik region of Armenia, including Meghri, Kajaran, Kapan, and Goris, with an intensity of 2-3 points, while in the villages of Agarak and Alvank, it was felt with an intensity of 3 points.
