VIDEO: New Footage of Ruang Volcano Eruption
The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation has ordered the closure of Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado until at least the evening of April 18, due to the eruption of the Ruang volcano located about a hundred kilometers north of Sulawesi Island.
On April 17, the volcano emitted lava, rock fragments, and ash that rose up to three kilometers into the sky. Earlier reports indicated that more than 800 people have been evacuated from the vicinity of the mountain.
