State Budget Funds for Personal Needs: 3.85 Million AMD for Water for the National Assembly
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "Almost all government agencies in Armenia frequently benefit from the state budget, and some government leaders also purchase gifts using the ministries' budgets. We will address the gifts later, but the most notable aspect is the everyday purchases made by state institutions at the expense of the Armenian state budget.
For instance, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has purchased drinking water worth 3.85 million AMD through electronic auction, set to supply 70,000 bottles of drinking water throughout the year, divided across the first, second, third, and fourth quarters at 15,000 or 20,000 bottles each time.
The RA Urban Development Committee acquired "Buregh" water through a single-source procurement method, with a price of 160 AMD per bottle, and "Jermuk", priced at 180 AMD per bottle. The total expenditure on these waters amounted to 120,000 AMD. Additionally, for the Committee’s needs, 30 packages of 100 grams of ground coffee were purchased, with one package costing 600 AMD. The Committee paid 138,000 AMD for these purchases.
Let’s stay tuned for more "important" purchases in the future."
