Zelensky Talks About What Awaits Ukraine Without U.S. Aid
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to take control of all of Ukraine, and the insufficient number of air defense systems in Ukraine only exacerbates this situation.
“Putin only understands power. He behaves like a beast; if you cannot defend yourself, he will destroy you even more. His desire is to dominate all of Ukraine,” he said in an interview with the German publication Bild.
Zelensky admitted that the possibility of Ukraine's defeat in the war now seems plausible, especially since the United States has not yet announced a new military aid package. “He (Putin) will destroy everything; he will kill many people because most people will not leave, so he will kill many of them. There will be a lot of blood, many casualties, significant losses, talking in the hundreds of thousands,” the head of state believes.
Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine lacks air defense systems to protect civilians from Russian attacks.
