Major Accident in Yerevan: '06' Collides with Rear of Truck, Injuries Reported

On April 9, a serious car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 2:00 AM, 28-year-old Melik Shahverdyan, a resident of Kotayk Province, crashed his 'VAZ 2106' vehicle into the rear of a 'MAZ' truck parked by 53-year-old Garnik Dilbaryan, a resident of Lori Province, opposite 26/2 Melkumov Street on Ashtarak Highway.

According to the website, as a result of the collision, the driver of the '06' and his passenger, 35-year-old Garik Gevorgyan from Aragatsotn Province, were injured and transported to 'Armenia' Medical Center.

First responders included citizens and a fire-rescue team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, specifically from the Yerevan Unit No. 7, who arrived promptly. One of the injured was extricated from the vehicle by rescue firefighters and quickly taken to the ambulance waiting on the scene.
