35-Year-Old Man Falls from 7th Floor of Under-Construction Building in Yerevan, Dies
A tragic incident occurred today, April 9, in Yerevan. At around 11:55 AM, a call was received by the Arabkir police department from the Arabkir ambulance station reporting that the ambulance crew had been dispatched to the address 6/1 Malxasyants Street, where a man's body was discovered on a construction site.
According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators determined that around 11:40 AM, a worker, identified as 35-year-old Hovhannes A. from the Armavir region, had accidentally fallen from the 7th floor of the partially constructed multi-apartment building and died at the scene.
The Arabkir Investigative Department has initiated a criminal case on charges of violating safety or security rules during construction, mining, or other work that has resulted in death due to negligence.
